Nintendo DS Lite Repairs

Nintendo released the redesigned DS Lite console in 2006 following the initial release of DS in 2005. Changing the design increased interest in the DS Lite immensely and has become the fastest selling handheld video gaming console in many countries. It is a more affordable handheld video gaming console option than Sony’s Playstation Portable (PSP), though the two do target different audiences.

It has two LCD screens, the lower screen with a touch function to be used with a stylus.

The DS Lite features Download Play, PictoChat, backwards compatibility with Game Boy Advance (GBA) game cartridges and is region free.

Being a handheld video gaming console and highly mobile and portable as well as being able to provide a fun experience for people from a very young age, the DS Lite is prone to many accidents and misuse and consequently damage requiring repair. These include dropping the console, sitting on the console, biting the console (yes!), inserting the game in the wrong way, sneezing on the console and of course playing a little too passionately.

DS Lite Hinge Replacement	Hinge (connects the top and bottom sections of the DS Lite) is broken or cracked If your hinge is damaged we recommend the unit not be used until the problem is rectified as continual use can cause damage to the top LCD screen, thus costing you more money to get it fixed
DS Lite Full Shell Replacement	Severe hinge damage Casing is damaged anywhere on the console Sometimes the location and extent of damage to the hinge means that you will need to have the full shell replaced. Doing so will make your console look new again
DS Lite Power Rectification	DS Lite will charge but not turn on DS Lite will not turn on at all DS Lite was dropped or exposed to shock or high impact Rattling sound can be heard inside when unit gently shaken
DS Lite Power Switch Repair	Power switch is loose/has no resistance and is non-responsive
DS Lite Shoulder Button Repair	R or L shoulder buttons are stuck or are non-responsive
DS Lite Directional Button/Function Button Repair	Directional buttons (left/right/up/down) or functional buttons (A/B/Y/X) are stuck or non responsive
DS Lite Microphone Repair	No voice recognition
