Backups:
In many countries it is legal to install and use a mod chip in one's own personal
game console. However, the copying and selling of copied games is illegal in
most countries. Some country's laws do not allow their citizens to use
backups, even if one owns the original. You must first check with your own
country's laws, and respect them. If it is not legal for you to make backups in
your region, then you must purchase a legal version of the game from a retailer.
Beetronix Solutions does not condone the illegal copying and/or distribution of
software for gaming consoles or any other format. Users must make themselves
aware of the laws that apply to their country and comply fully with them! Respect the software industry, respect the law and
use products according to their licensing requirements. You must remember that the intended purpose of a modchip is to allow
a gaming console to play imports and backups of software
that you legally own or have designed yourself, and this is permitted by the law in
most countries. However, to reiterate, ALWAYS check with your local laws to
avoid any potential legal action.
IMPORTANT:
According to Copyright laws you are entitled to own backups if you do have
purchased legally obtained versions of original games. If you don't own the games, you must destroy the backups
within a 24 hour period or be subject to potential legal ramifications for
Piracy and copyright infringement.
